FAQ’s

We’ve tried to answer all the questions you might have about our kids programs because we know how important it is.  But just in case, here are a few of the common questions we hear.  If we’ve missed yours, email us at ym@ridgeviewbaptistchurch.com

What should I do upon arrival?

Parking for most parents is located in the lowest level parking lot.  It is downhill, to the left of the Worship Center.

The entrances to RidgeKids, whether from the lobby area inside the Worship Center or from the outside entrance in the lowest level parking area, are clearly marked with the RidgeKids logo.

Enter the building and follow the signs to the Registration area.  You will be greeted and directed from there.

 

What do you do to keep kids safe?

Safety and security are of utmost importance for RidgeKids.  Each child, upon arrival is given a safety bracelet with an I.D. number to wear for the day.  The parent or guardian checking them in will receive a tear-off security tag that is removed from the child’s safety bracelet.  They bear the same security number.  Children cannot be picked up by an adult without the security tag that is given at check in.  Parents can be notified at any time on a screen in the worship service if they are needed in the children’s area.  Additionally, children’s areas are secured and monitored at all times.

 

Who will be working with my child?

Volunteers in RidgeKids are trained and highly dedicated volunteers.  They know that the opportunity to serve children and families is a privilege.  All of our volunteers pass through security screenings.  Please contact us at ym@ridgeviewbaptistchurch.com  if you would like to get involved and experience RidgeKids as a volunteer.

 

What if I lose my identification tag?

If for some reason you were to lose your identification tag, return to RidgeKids Registration and be  ready to present a photo I.D. that we may verify your identity when picking up your child.

 

What measures have you taken to prepare for an emergency?

Procedures anticipating possible injury, fire, building evacuation, and unauthorized intruders have been established.  At Registration you will receive detailed information and instructions on the reverse side of your Registration Card.
