We reach out to children with the love of Christ.
 We believe that spiritual development can and should begin from the earliest age with parents as the primary nurturers of their children’s faith. We believe it is possible to share the love of Christ with a child from the day of their birth. The preschool years are crucial for developing a child's spiritual foundation.
We want to come alongside the parents of children to whom we minister at each age-level to help them lay a spiritual foundation that, in His timing, will lead their child into a personal relationship with Christ. With this in mind, our resources support both the church and home with a focus on knowing God personally, igniting a passion for Christ, and cultivating a concern for people’s needs in the community and around the world.
The children's department is broken down into age groups to best meet the needs of our children.
what happens on Sunday
We provide a nursery during both the 9:45 am and 10:45 am hours. Our nursery is designed for children from birth to 2 years old.
 Our preschoolers who are 2 - 5 years old, attend Sunday School at 9:45 am and Children's Church at 10:45 am.
During both hours, our children are cared for in a safe, loving environment designed to meet their particular needs. Those who serve them desire to demonstrate Jesus' love and care.
We want our preschoolers to understand that God loves and cares for them and that God sent His Son, Jesus, to show His love for them. We teach each child how to demonstrate a love for God through kindness, helpfulness, and thankfulness, and by talking to God in prayer. We encourage children to talk to God any time, at any where. We partner with parents to teach a Biblical worldview.
Our goal, for each child is to guide them as they learn and experience that:
1. God made them.
2. God loves them.
3. Jesus wants to be their friend forever.

How young can a child be and still learn Christian missions concepts? The preschool years. From babies to kindergartners, Mission Friends provides the building blocks of faith and a basic awareness of God's love for all people. Here at Ridgeview, we include choir as a part of Mission Friends.
What is Mission Friends?
Mission Friends is where:
1. Preschoolers become aware of God's love, and they learn
that others need to hear about this good news.
2. Preschoolers are involved in learning, praying, giving, and
doing missions.
3. Preschoolers learn of missions work in North America and
throughout the world.
4. Each month, preschoolers learn of a missionary in a
different place.
